Inhouse Management Accountant (Fixed Term Contract – up to £42,000)
Location: Exeter or Abingdon (Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 days home)
Contract: 8-month FTC (until June / July 2026)
We’re looking for an experienced Inhouse Management Accountant to join our Fire Safety division on an 8-month fixed-term contract, providing cover while one of our team takes a well-earned sabbatical to go travelling.
Working as part of a small, close-knit finance team (with support from a wider centralised group at Head Office), you’ll play a key role in supporting the Business Finance Manager to deliver accurate, timely and meaningful financial reporting.
What you’ll be doing:
* Supporting with month-end reporting, including preparation and review of journals, accruals and prepayments.
* Partnering with operational stakeholders to help them understand financial performance.
* Reviewing margins, costs and variances to ensure accuracy and control.
* Assisting with forecasting and budgeting activities.
* Helping to drive process improvements and ensure data integrity.
What we’re looking for:
* Previous experience in inhouse management accounting (or an experienced Assistant Accountant ready to step up).
* Strong Excel skills and attention to detail – accuracy is key.
* A positive, proactive attitude and the ability to quickly pick up new systems and processes.
* Someone comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing business.
