Position Details
* Type: Full-time (40 hours per week)
* Duration: 12 months (fixed term)
* Salary Scale: £45,504 - £71,550 per annum
Applications are invited from trainee doctors who have recently completed or are about to finish UK Foundation Programmes or Core Medical Training to apply for the Clinical Development Fellow (CDF) position in Intellectual Disability Psychiatry.
Role Description
This 12-month post involves working with the Learning Disability Team at Lochview Hospital Larbert. CDFs will have protected 8 hours per week for development activities, including in-house training, with the remaining time allocated to inpatient clinical work. The appointment will be on a full-time basis, with remuneration according to NHS pay and conditions (NHS Circular: PCS (DD) 2023/01).
The post offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality mental health services in Forth Valley, with a focus on achieving accreditation for our inpatient wards and supporting our multidisciplinary teams in delivering excellent care. The hospital is located in scenic Scotland, near Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, with good transport links to Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Requirements
* Full GMC registration and a license to practice
* Minimum of 2 years’ post-registration experience, including Psychiatry at Specialist Trainee level or equivalent
* Evidence of recent academic and professional development
* Excellent communication, listening, and organizational skills
