Micro Space Planner
Field based with regular travel to Head Office and sites
37.5 hours per week

Moto Hospitality is the UK’s largest operator of Motorway Service Areas, and we’re looking for an experienced Micro Space Planner to join our Space Planning team.
This role plays a key part in bringing our retail and forecourt spaces to life — using data, insight and strong category knowledge to create planograms that maximise sales, improve customer experience and work for our sites.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll take ownership of micro space planning across a range of categories, supporting the deployment of both macro and micro space planning principles across our estate. Your role will include:
* Creating and maintaining planograms that optimise space and drive revenue
* Analysing sales and category data to identify over‑and under‑performing ranges
* Reviewing and adapting planograms on a monthly basis
* Managing smaller categories end‑to‑end, including range and space decisions
* Delivering rolling 12‑month category merchandising strategies with the Space Planning LeadProducing promotional planograms and monthly gondola end plans
* Working closely with Category Trading teams to support category plans
* Producing clear site communications to support planogram implementation
* Visiting sites regularly to engage teams, monitor compliance and gather feedback
* Supporting audits and compliance activity as required
Planograms will initially be created using our current NexGen system, with opportunities to shape how we work as we review future space planning software options.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who combines strong analytical skills with practical retail experience and a collaborative approach.
You’ll ideally bring:
* You will have proven experience in micro space planning
* Retail or forecourt experience (essential)
* Strong analytical skills with confidence working in Excel
* Excellent organisation, time management and prioritisation skills
* Clear communication skills and the confidence to engage with site teams
* The ability to work independently while contributing to a wider team
