This role is hands on and service led, focused on maintaining high beverage standards, supporting the bar team, and ensuring smooth service across both floors. The Assistant Bar Manager acts as a key leader during service, competently running shifts, supporting the team, and upholding the bar’s standards in the absence of the Bar Manager or other senior managers. Service & Floor Leadership Support daily bar operations across both floors during service Lead shifts, ensuring smooth service flow, quality control, and guest satisfaction Maintain high standards of cocktail execution, presentation, and speed of service Handle guest feedback and resolve issues promptly and professionally Ensure opening, closing, and handover procedures are followed correctly Team Support & Training Support bartenders and barbacks during service, leading by example Assist with training new team members on cocktails, service standards, and procedures, following SOPs and spec sheets consistently Reinforce recipes, specs, and brand standards during live service Support the Bar Manager with performance feedback and coaching Stock, Prep & Bar Standards Assist with stock control, receiving deliveries, and organising storage areas Help conduct stock counts and report variances Ensure all prep, garnishes, and mise en place are completed to standard Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and equipment standards behind the bar Report maintenance issues and equipment needs Operational & Administrative Support Assist with rotas, break management, and shift coverage as required Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and licensing requirements Support events, activations, and private functions across Lady Libertine Step into the Bar Manager role when required Personal Attributes Passionate about cocktails and hospitality Confident, proactive, and calm under pressure Strong work ethic with a hands-on leadership style Detail-oriented with a commitment to consistency Professional, reliable, and team-focused LADY LIBERTINE Located within The Edinburgh Grand, Lady Libertine is a stylish, two-level cocktail bar and restaurant with a bold personality.
