We are working with a local Accountancy Practice to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant. We’re looking for someone with solid practice experience or a background working within a group finance structure, who’s confident in juggling multiple accounts and keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes. They are able to offer full or part-time hours between 25 and 37.50 per week.
Responsibilities:
* Sales, purchase, and nominal ledger maintenance/processing
* Bank reconciliations
* VAT returns
* Preparation of unincorporated business accounts for both management and year-end purposes
* Manage client accounts
* Dealing with client queries, the role has the potential for on-site support visits to client premises
* Process clients’ financial data into accounting software in a timely and accurate manner
* Preparation of CIS returns
* Advising clients on the use of accounting software
* Preparing reports for clients
* All other duties as required
Experience:
* Must hold AAT level 2 or close to completing level 2
* Customer service experience with the ability to develop strong working relationships with clients and colleagues
* Organised, friendly, reliable, have great communication skills and a willingness to learn are essential
