Our client, a well-established nursery in the heart of Southampton, Hampshire, is currently seeking a Full-time Nursery Assistant to join their vibrant team. This is an excellent opportunity to embark on a rewarding career in early years education and contribute to the growth and development of children in a nurturing environment. As a Nursery Assistant, you will work alongside experienced practitioners to create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment for children aged between 0 and 5 years. You will assist in planning and delivering engaging activities that promote children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development, in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Support the implementation of the EYFS curriculum, ensuring that each child's individual needs are met Assist in planning and preparing age-appropriate activities and learning experiences Engage with children through play, storytelling, singing, and other interactive activities Help children develop their language, communication, and social skills Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating environment Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide high-quality care and education Build positive relationships with children, parents, and carers Observe, assess, and record children's progress, sharing information with parents and other professionals as required Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent experience Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a team and build strong relationships with children and families Creativity, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for working with young children Patience, empathy, and a caring nature Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion Flexibility to work various shifts, including occasional weekends and evenings Valid DBS check and satisfactory references In return for your dedication and hard work, our client offers a competitive salary of £15.00 per hour, along with a supportive and friendly working environment.
