We want a passionate and energetic and proven Tool Hire Supervisor that wants to make a difference to people’s lives and influence the success of the business. The hire industry is fast paced, and each day has a new challenge but with these challenges, success follows.

This new role comes with many responsibilities; however, the main responsibilities are:

1. Sales – Generating new and servicing/expanding current customers through a commitment to first class customer service to help drive the company sales forward.
2. Financial – Cash/Till, Card payment processing/taking, understanding of the weekly/monthly sales and stock reporting is a must have.
3. Resale area – Keeping a well-stocked, clean and presentable Hire shop.
4. Company Reputation – Carrying out all of the above responsibilities whilst also ensuring that the company’s reputation is paramount ensuring all customers and staff are happy.

In this role you will be assisting in the efficient running of Tool Hire by building relationships with customers and staff to achieve maximum sales potential and customer service. Promote MKM to be the merchant of choice within your geographical area.

5. Ensure profitable customer relationships are built and maintained, including complaint resolution, preparing customer orders, loading and unloading safely and satisfactorily, ensuring any technical problems, faults and repairs are dealt with efficiently.
6. Ensure sales orders and delivery schedules are processed accurately and promptly.
7. Supporting all Company initiatives
8. Following plans to continuously improve customer experience.
9. Understanding local market issues and communicate to Manager to support sales growth plans.
10. Administration – Coordinate all Tool hire reports as necessary, paying particular attention to Health & Safety
11. Administration – All sales orders processed promptly; maintenance records in relation to hired products are kept up to date; cash payments processed in line with company procedures.
12. Assist supervisor with managing stock levels, including incoming goods checked against delivery tickets, and participate in stock takes as required.
13. Health & safety – ensure the safety of not only yourself but also colleagues and customers; up to date knowledge of Tool Hire H&S procedures; maintenance meets all the necessary requirements; H&S certification maintained.
14. Assist supervisor with managing stock levels, incoming goods checked against delivery tickets and participate in stock takes as required.
15. Ensure that product knowledge is up to date and applied accurately in customer conversations.
16. Provide specialist advice and product information.

Qualifications and Skills

Essential

18. A relevant understanding of the market and product knowledge would be a distinct advantage.
19. Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
20. Flexible and enthusiastic attitude.
21. Experience in a sales/customer focused role.
22. Demonstrable customer service focus
23. Able to create and maintain successful relationships.
24. Good organisational skills to manage stock.
25. Desirable
26. GCSEs (Or equivalent) – Maths and English
27. IT literate
28. Working knowledge of appropriate Health & Safety legislation
