Description
The job itself
We are looking for a direct payment worker to support a fun and engaging teenage boy in Market Weighton. The support required is 4 hours per week during term time and 10 hours per week during the holidays. However if support can only be offered during the holidays please still apply or contact Mark Frampton on to discuss further.
This young person, enjoys spending time with his family, particularly his mum, dad, and brother. School is very important to him, and he has developed strong relationships with teachers and support staff. He loves being outdoors, exploring the community, and is looking for a like-minded adult who can share these experiences and create lasting memories.
He finds waiting in queues and standing still challenging, as this can make him feel frustrated and anxious. Punctuality is important to him, so he appreciates when people arrive on time.
Activities he enjoys:
He loves outdoor activities, including exploring new places, going on train journeys, and visiting the train museum in York. Fishing is another favorite, especially in good weather. At home, he enjoys building Lego sets, creating cars, and playing on his Xbox. He is also an active member of the Army Cadets, where he has made new friends and enjoys being part of the group.
Support Needed:
He requires support to access the community safely and to take part in activities he enjoys. Ideally, his Direct Payment Worker will share his enthusiasm for the outdoors and help him engage in experiences that matter to him.
