Overview
Join to apply for the Oracle Data Migration Architect role at Capgemini.
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Oracle Data Migration Architect with Integration skills to work within a team of highly skilled consultants and positively drive and enable our deliveries.
Oracle’s Cloud strategy and growth introduce new PaaS capabilities, enabling opportunities to move IT systems to Digital & Cloud. API Management, Cloud-based integration, Microservices and Modern Application Frameworks are central to this transformation. Capgemini is investing in modern cloud technology, AI, and data platforms.
Hybrid working: The place you work from day to day will vary according to role, needs, and the business, blending Company offices, client sites, and your home (not 100% remote).
Pre-employment checks: If offered this position, you will undergo pre-employment checks including identity, nationality/immigration status, employment history from the last 3 years, and a criminal record check (Disclosure and Barring Service).
Your Role
You will take a leading role on our complex Oracle Cloud implementations, working with SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS components across the Oracle portfolio, incorporating open-source technologies, cloud-native approaches (APIs, microservices, modern applications), and products from other cloud vendors where suitable.
You will operate as a Data Migration Architect for our complex data migration projects, with a focus on large-scale Oracle SaaS/PaaS/IaaS implementations.
Responsibilities
* Design patterns for complex data integration.
* Provide pre-sales support by articulating the architectural significance and benefits of the Oracle PaaS.
* Become a key contributor and advocate of Oracle-focused tools and methodologies and drive a cloud-native approach in delivering solutions.
* Collaborate with Oracle UK and Capgemini global teams to develop a pipeline of PaaS opportunities as standalone initiatives or part of wider Oracle-centric offerings.
* Communicate an implementation approach and design methodology to an offshore development team and/or lead globally distributed teams.
Skills and Experience
We recognise that the modern Oracle PaaS landscape spans multiple skill sets. While the list below highlights key areas, it is not required to have experience in all of them. We welcome candidates with traditional or Cloud-based Oracle experience, and the ability to adapt architectural designs and approaches.
* Experience and a proven track record of leading and planning large-scale data migration projects, with knowledge of ETL tools (e.g., Oracle Data Integrator).
* Architectural knowledge across the full Oracle PaaS portfolio, including Oracle Integration Cloud and Oracle OCI Services (e.g., Functions, API Gateway, Events).
* Knowledge and experience delivering Oracle SaaS solutions.
* Knowledge and experience of Oracle E-Business Suite.
* Experience of DevOps and robust CI/CD pipelines.
* Strong communication skills and experience with distributed delivery (off-shore/on-shore).
Security clearance
To be successfully appointed, it is a requirement to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance. This includes residency in the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, nationality/immigration status, and other criteria. During recruitment you may be asked about your security clearance eligibility.
