The RoleYou will play a key role in the management accounting team, focusing on accounting and reporting as well as processing monthly payroll andpliance.
Responsibilities include:
Core Accounting Responsibilities
1. Prepare and post journals, including payroll-related entries, in ERP systems (NetSuite/Sage).
2. Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances across control accounts.
3. Support month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals and provisions.
4. Prepare financial reports for group entities and assist with audit queries.
5. Calculate post-holiday accruals and other key adjustments.
6. Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements within finance.
Payroll Oversight
7. Manage UK payroll preparation and liaise with HR to maintain accurate employee data.
8. Ensurepliance with statutory requirements (RTI submissions, PAYE, PSA).
9. Oversee international payrolls (US, Canada, France) via third-party providers.
10. Lead strategic payroll projects, including transitioning to Payrolling Benefits in Kind (BIK).
About YouEssential:
11. Experienced accountant with strong technical accounting skills.
12. Experience in payroll accounting (journals, reconciliations, accruals).
13. Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
14. Ability to investigate and resolve financial variances.
Desirable:
15. Familiarity with NetSuite or PayFit.
16. Experience managing international payrolls.
17. Knowledge of UK payroll legislation and CIPP qualification (or equivalent).
