Red Bull Powertrains are offering a placement opportunity within our Quality Engineering team. In this hands-on role you will be emersed into the heart of our state-of-the-art Technical and Manufacturing facilities where we drive engineering and innovation to the limit to develop cutting-edge Formula 1 power units. Pushing boundaries is in our DNA!

As a placement student, you’ll provide positive, proactive and collaborative Quality Engineering support to RBPT Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, Inspection and our Sub-Contract Suppliers to ensure an efficient flow of the right quality parts to stock.

You’ll also develop strong working relationships, promoting a quality assurance approach using the necessary tools, and to support and challenge the business to continually improve our quality performance and technical capability.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Develop the Skills required to be fully capable of containing issues at Red Bull Powertrains 2026 Ltd (RBPT), attaining all relevant approvals.
2. Understanding core principles of Quality Engineering to enable a robust understanding on how to prevent issues from being present in the final delivery of power units.
3. Ensuring clear understanding of the status of potential non-conformities / at-risk parts, both physically and digitally through our ERP system.
4. Ensuring at-risk components are contained promptly, robustly and in accordance with business requirements.
5. Documenting the containment outcomes for traceability purposes.
6. Managing communication of issues with the non-conformance management systems and liaison with designers to establish fit for purpose of components.
7. Establish good relationships and clear communication with peers and other departments.
8. Support and understand the company continuous improvement policy by assisting with writing and updating procedures to reflect best practise.
9. Assist other supply chain areas with ad-hoc requests and process best-practices.

Expected knowledge, experience & attributes of the successful candidate:

10. Working with all areas of Quality Assurance to feedback and improve their capabilities
11. Gain an understanding of manufacturing and build processes to better identify potential issues
12. Work closely with other functions to feedback on opportunities to improve, be it from updating design specifications or writing standard operating procedures
13. Establishing a continuous improvement culture, driving the team to make improvements irrespective of size
14. Support carrying out any investigations or be the point of contact when there are open issues or queries
15. To ensure that company policies and procedures are administered consistently, seeking advice where appropriate, e.g., holiday bookings, sickness absence, disciplinary and grievance matters.
16. Ensure the highest standards of quality, Health and Safety commitment and behaviour are maintained, and all required operating procedures are followed.
17. To always work in a professional manner regardless of the task set and be pro-active in promoting a positive image for the department / team / sponsors.
