Senior Stores Officer | Fleet Services | Full Time | Bamber Bridge, Preston
Salary: £25,989 - £28,142 per annum | Hours: Full time – 37 hours per week | Location: Fleet Stores, Bamber Bridge, Preston

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Senior Stores Officer to enhance our friendly and supportive stores team. You will support a fleet operation of over 700 vehicles, plant and equipment as part of Lancashire County Council’s Growth, Environment, Transport & Health Directorate.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Ordering spare parts and tooling for all council vehicles, plant, and ancillary workshop items.
* Liaising with suppliers by phone and email for quotes, order chasing, etc.
* Picking, transferring, and issuing parts and tooling to internal and external depots.
* Receipting and checking goods, locating and labeling stock, and maintaining accurate records.
* Creating orders for stores items and managing stock levels.
* Handling account queries from suppliers, depots, and internal teams.
* Supporting the stores team with any ad‑hoc duties as required.
