An excellent opportunity has arisen to recruit a Community Psychiatric Nurse/Care Co-ordinator into our busy Community Mental Health Team for Older Adults.
The area covered by the post is Bolton Older Adults Community Mental Health Team.
We are looking for an experienced, committed and motivated professional to work with older people who are living with dementia or functional illnesses.
Main duties of the job
* Complete Memory Assessments (training will be given)
* Complete initial assessments
* Participate in Duty Rota
* Nursing Needs Assessments
Benefits and working conditions
* Pay Enhancements – 30% additional for Evenings (8pm onwards) and Saturdays and 60% additional for Sundays and Bank holidays.
* 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays, rising to 29 after 5 years and 33 days after 10 years.
* Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, 9‑5 Monday‑Friday (flexible working can be discussed).
* Salary £39,959 – £48,117 per annum pro rata, based on type of contract.
* Contract: Permanent.
Experience
* Experience of working with older adults with mental health needs.
* Experience of working in a Community setting.
* Experience of supervising junior staff/students (optional).
* Experience of working with service users with organic and functional illnesses (optional).
Skills & Abilities
* Understanding of the role of Community Mental Health Teams.
* Knowledge and understanding of relevant mental health legislation and issues.
Qualification
* Registered to practice, evidence of revalidation.
Additional requirements
* All candidates subject to satisfactory pre‑employment checks and DBS check (including DBS Update Service where required).
* Must be a UK professional registration holder, or have appropriate UK professional registration.
