Overview
We are looking for an IT Service Manager to join our Health Product Support team at DWP Digital. You’ll manage live services across a wide range of technologies, ensuring performance targets are met and services are continuously improved. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external suppliers, including health assessment providers, to resolve incidents, reduce problems, and deliver a first-class user experience. You’ll contribute to major incident resolution, translate technical issues into business impact, and support on-call duties on a rota basis.
What you’ll do
* Manage live service issues and drive timely resolution under pressure.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to maintain service performance and availability.
* Contribute to incident and problem management, service reporting, and SLA/OLA management.
* Translate technical issues into clear business impact for stakeholders.
* Support on-call duties on a rota basis and participate in major incident resolution.
What skills, knowledge and experience you’ll need
* Experience in IT service management, ideally using ITIL-based methodologies.
* Ability to manage live service issues and work under pressure to tight deadlines.
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including working with external suppliers and operational teams.
* Experience contributing to incident and problem management, service reporting, and SLA/OLA management.
* Ability to communicate technical issues in clear, business-focused language.
Location
You'll join us in one of our digital hubs in Birmingham, Blackpool, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle-upon-Tyne or Sheffield.
Hybrid Working
We work a hybrid model — you'll spend some time working at home and some time collaborating face to face in a hub.
Pay
£38,772 per year
Pension
You'll get a civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97% (approximately £11,232 per year).
Holidays
