Role Details:
The Senior Planner will support the Strategic Planning Lead in developing and maintaining the Infrastructure Integrated Plan (IIP) and Strategic Infrastructure Integrated Plan (Strategic IIP). These plans capture infrastructure activities across the sites and draws together key milestones; critical dates and interdependencies between project delivery and Maintenance; Design & Safety Case and Operational plans & programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Engage with Engineering and Compliance teams to understand their tasks and how they interact and impact on infrastructure activities.
* Collate data from Infrastructure planners, project and programme teams across the project community to integrate the Plan into P6 schedules, producing an IIP and Strategic IIP that provide an overarching infrastructure picture that is the one version of the truth.
* Develop and manage the Primavera P6 schedules.
* Analyse, challenge and report discrepancies, risks, issues and opportunities within plans to ensure timely mitigation and VFM solutions.
* Demonstrate cause and effect and run mitigation scenarios as required.
* Support the development of a robust reporting mechanism that enables the provision of up to date planning information, including progress and risks & issues that need addressed / escalated.
* Produce reports on progress, change, cause and effect and mitigation measures for presenting at the relevant governance forums, in line with their governance drumbeats.
* Alongside the Civil Service Infrastructure Strategic Planning Lead, act as the DHI focal point for all P6 planning activities.
Key Requirements:
* MS O365 proficient.
* Primavera P6 proficient.
* Experienced user of SharpCloud and Power BI.
* Strong administration and governance skills.
* Effective stakeholder management and engagement at all levels.
* Strong presentation and communication skills.
* Organised with ability to work on own initiative and be proactive.
Additional role details
* Security - The incumbent of this role must be a minimum of SC cleared and a sole UK national.
* Working arrangements – The incumbent of this role must be able to do hybrid working with the ability to attend the site up to 2 days per week and / or to meet business needs, as requested. There may be a requirement to attend meetings in other locations (e.g. Glasgow) to support business needs.
