Job Description
As a Senior Sous Chef you will collaborate with our culinary team to craft flavourful dishes that nourish both body and mind. You should have excellent presentation, organisational and communication skills, and demonstrate a real passion for food and service with enthusiasm.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety.
* Lead and motivate a team of chefs, providing guidance, support, and training to maintain operational excellence.
* Create balanced, innovative menus that cater to diverse dietary needs and promote energy and well-being.
* Oversee food preparation and service for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and hospitality events.
* Maintain inventory, monitor costs, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a similar role within a contract catering company or educational institution preferred.
* Culinary degree or relevant certifications from a recognized culinary institute.
* Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices.
* Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume kitchen environment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
* Fun, enthusiastic, and well-organised; a team player who enjoys succeeding as a team.
* Be adaptable with a flexible approach to work.
