Booth Welsh are searching for CNC Machinists for one of our Glasgow based clients.
This role is for machinists who like:
Complex parts
Tight tolerances
Clean drawings
Modern machines
And being trusted to do the job properly
You won’t be babysitting machines or chasing numbers for the sake of it.
You’ll be producing high-quality, precision components where accuracy actually matters.
What your day really looks like
You take parts from drawing to finished component
You set, programme and run 5-axis milling machines
You work to tight tolerances and inspect your own work
You spot issues early and fix them before they become problems
You work alongside engineers and machinists who care about doing things right
You finish shifts knowing the work leaving the machine is spot on
This will suit you if:
You’ve machined high-precision components before
You’re confident setting and operating CNC milling machines (5-axis experience essential)
You read drawings properly and don’t need hand-holding
You look after your machine and your work area
You’d rather work somewhere organised than chaotic
You take pride in the quality of what you produce
Experience editing programmes, specific control systems, or lean/5S is useful - but not a deal breaker.
