In-House Recruiter (FTC – Maternity Cover) York Hybrid Full-Time £28,000 -£30,000 Im working exclusively with a well-established retail business in York to recruit an In-House Retail Recruiter on a maternity cover FTC. This is a fantastic opportunity for either a recruiter or someone with strong retail experience looking to move into a people-focused recruitment role. Youll be responsible for end-to-end recruitment across UK retail stores, hiring for roles from Customer Advisors through to Store Managers, while working closely with store teams and stakeholders. You will be part of a supportive, down to earth team that offers a great culture. Key responsibilities include: • Engaging with candidates to assess suitability and cultural fit • Writing and tailoring engaging job adverts • Supporting store managers with end-to-end recruitment needs • Conducting telephone and MS Teams interviews • Managing candidate communication and feedback throughout the process • Preparing new starter paperwork and completing right to work checks • Building strong relationships with store teams and key stakeholders • Supporting recruitment for new store openings About you: • Confident and experienced interviewer (essential) • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills • Strong organisational skills with a proactive, “can do” approach • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment • Previous retail experience is highly desirable (e.g. Store Manager background) • Previous recruitment or HR experience is beneficial but not essential Whats on offer: • Hybrid working (1 day per week from home) • Flexible working hours • Company pension scheme and discretionary bonus • Generous colleague discount (can be shared with family and friends) • Free onsite parking • Access to wellbeing, development, and employee support schemes • Great team!
