Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
1. Maintaining and repairing clients' mechanical & electrical systems and associated components.
2. Reviewing and monitoring subcontractor performance during site visits for specialist services or repairs.
3. Ensuring a safe and healthy workplace environment.
4. Completing simPRO / instruction sets with annotated steps and photographs upon maintenance completion.
5. Keeping logbook records for clients' electrical, mechanical, and water systems, including health and safety documentation.
6. Reporting to supervisors and management any issues preventing statutory planned maintenance.
7. Maintaining comfortable environmental conditions via HVAC systems.
8. Performing reactive repairs, fault finding, and responding to BMS alarms for mechanical and electrical systems.
9. Identifying potential hazards during maintenance tasks and reporting them.
10. Operating and understanding all plant and systems responsibilities, including startup, shutdown, checks, changeovers, and fault finding.
11. Conducting regular walk-rounds to ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper functioning of plant rooms.
12. Communicating effectively with clients and end users, both verbally and in writing.
13. Carrying out maintenance, repairs, and small installations as directed.
14. Maintaining records related to health & safety, compliance, and quality assurance.
15. Fostering good team relationships and keeping supervisors informed of work progress.
16. Communicating maintenance impacts to clients and sharing knowledge for safe operations.
17. Reporting hazards or safety concerns immediately to supervisors and account managers.
18. Isolating, safe-guarding, and depressurizing systems as required.
19. Participating in out-of-hours call-out rotations and working overtime as needed.
20. Undertaking any additional duties assigned by management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
* City & Guilds Level III or equivalent in Electrical and Mechanical disciplines (essential).
* Completed 18th Edition I.E.E (essential).
* City & Guilds BS 2391 Level 3 Electrical Inspection & Testing (desirable).
* IOSH Working Safely (desirable).
* PASMA and IPAF certifications (desirable).
* Good understanding of Electricity at Work regulations (essential).
* Training in unvented hot water systems (desirable).
* Knowledge of BMS, generator, controls, lighting, plumbing, drainage, and ventilation systems (desirable).
* Valid certificate for High Voltage systems (desirable).
* Experience with maintenance, testing, and fault finding on various equipment including boilers, pumps, generators, switchgear, cables, batteries, lighting, etc.
