GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a nurturing and inclusive school in Rustington. This role provides a rewarding opportunity to support pupils in overcoming learning challenges, building confidence, and engaging positively in their education.
The SEN TA supports pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) by providing targeted one-to-one or small group assistance.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Provide one-to-one or small group support for pupils with a range of SEN needs.
* Assist teachers in delivering personalised learning activities tailored to individual pupil requirements.
* Encourage pupils to engage in lessons, develop social skills, and manage behaviour positively.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to implement learning and behaviour plans.
Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant:
* Experience supporting children or young people with SEN or additional learning needs.
* A calm, compassionate, and proactive approach to supporting pupils.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team under teacher guidance.
* An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any employment gaps.
