An established client of ours in the professional services sector are looking for a 1st Line Support Technician to join their internal IT department, on a permanent basis. Joining a team of 4 others and reporting to the Head of IT, the successful candidate will respond to Incident and Service Requests from colleagues, act as the first point of contact for IT requests and log / respond to tickets effectively. This is an office-based role in their Alderley Edge office, so applicants must be within a commutable distance of the area and comfortable working on-site Monday to Friday. The organisation is undergoing an exciting period of growth in addition to digital transformation, so this is a great opportunity to work with some of the latest technologies and develop your IT skills further with lots of hands-on training alongside the IT team. Role Responsibilities: Act as the first point of contact for IT related issues via the Service Desk via phone, email or in-person requests. Maintain the ticketing system, ensuring that calls have been logged and actioned (including escalations to senior members of the team). Password resets and unlocking accounts. Setting up new users. Processing starters and leavers, setting up new equipment. Troubleshooting hardware and printers. Installing and imaging software. Skills / Experience required: Previous experience in a similar 1st line support role. Knowledge of Windows 10/11 Understanding of Microsoft Exchange, InTune, 365 Awareness of LAN / WAN Mobile Device Management Experience working within a Service Desk environment Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to explain technical terms to non-technical users - with a polite and patient approach.
