Job Description Data Engineer (Databricks / Microsoft Fabric) Goldthorpe £55,000-£65,000 10% bonus Hybrid Early Friday finish (1:30pm) We’re working with an established organisation that is currently investing in a major data platform transformation, moving away from legacy systems and building a modern cloud-based architecture across Databricks and Microsoft Fabric. This is a hands-on Data Engineering role within a growing in-house data team. You’ll be involved in the design, build, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and models that support reporting, analytics, and wider business decision-making. The role offers the opportunity to work across the full data lifecycle and contribute to the ongoing development of a modern Azure-based data platform. Responsibilities Build and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks Work within a hybrid Databricks and Microsoft Fabric environment Ingest and integrate data from multiple source systems into a central platform Develop data models to support Power BI and reporting requirements Support the migration of legacy data processes to modern cloud architecture Develop batch and near real-time data integrations where required Collaborate with BI developers, analytics teams, and wider stakeholders Support CI/CD processes for data pipelines using Azure DevOps and Git Ensure data quality, performance, and reliability across solutions Requirements Strong experience with SQL and Azure Data Factory Experience with Databricks and/or Microsoft Fabric Good understanding of data modelling (e.g. star schema, dimensional modelling) Experience integrating data from multiple systems Exposure to Power BI, particularly data models or datasets Experience working in Azure cloud environments Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps or Git Experience working on data platform or data warehouse projects Benefits Salary up to £65,000 10% annual bonus Hybrid working (3 days onsite, 2 remote) Early Friday finish (1:30pm) Opportunity to work on a modern cloud data transformation programme
