Due to continued growth and the launch of new projects, the position of Assistant Quantity Surveyor has become available at Lagan MEICA Ltd. This role involves working alongside our existing commercial and site teams.
What you'll do
1. Provide commercial support to aid with the delivery of contracts.
2. Prepare accurate and timely reports for the management team.
3. Maintain and coordinate all required commercial reports.
4. Manage site material and labour trackers.
5. Ensure the accuracy of all commercial data.
6. Support procurement of subcontractors and materials.
7. Prepare all sub-contract documentation, ensuring provisions are passed to the supply chain to mitigate risks.
8. Administer payments to subcontractors in line with schedules and contracts.
9. Report on subcontractor liabilities monthly, capturing current and forecasted costs.
10. Assist in maximizing value recovery, including raising and pricing variations.
11. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
12. Promote an inclusive and equal opportunity culture within the company.
What you'll bring
* BSc in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
* At least 12 months of experience in a Quantity Surveying role, with independent task management.
* Good understanding of Standard Forms of Contract (e.g., NEC).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
* Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
Desirable:
* Working towards or willing to pursue professional membership (e.g., RICS/ICES).
