Job Title: General Foreman – Wind Farm Construction

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced General Foreman to oversee and co-ordinate daily operations on utility-scale wind farm construction projects. The General Foreman will lead site teams, subcontractors and supervisors to ensure safe, efficient and high-quality project delivery in line with programme requirements and company standards.
Key Responsibilities

\tSupervise and co-ordinate all on-site construction activities relating to wind turbine foundations, erection, cabling and associated civil works.

\tLead and mentor site operatives, ensuring productivity, compliance and adherence to health and safety regulations.
\t
\t
*
\tAct as the primary site lead, reporting progress, risks and milestones to Project Management.
\t
\t
*
\tImplement and enforce health, safety and environmental policies in accordance with company and statutory requirements.
\t
\t
*
\tLiaise with subcontractors, suppliers and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and continuity of works.
\t
\t
*
\tReview construction drawings, specifications and method statements to ensure accurate execution.
\t
\t
*
\tConduct daily briefings, toolbox talks and safety meetings to promote a strong safety culture.
\t
\t
*
\tMonitor quality control procedures and ensure works are completed in line with engineering and client specifications.
\t
\t
*
\tIdentify and mitigate risks that may impact programme or budget.
\t
\t
*
\tMaintain accurate site documentation including daily reports, timesheets and progress records.
\t
Leadership & Supervision
The General Foreman will oversee multiple gangs and discipline leads, ensuring alignment across all phases of wind farm construction. As the senior field representative, the General Foreman will drive accountability, maintain programme momentum and ensure clear communication between site operations and senior management.
Required Qualifications & Experience

\tProven experience as a General Foreman within wind farm or large-scale renewable energy projects.
\t
\t
*
\tStrong background in civil engineering works, turbine installation, crane co-ordination and underground cabling.
\t
\t
*
\tDemonstrated ability to manage sizeable site teams (20+ personnel) across multiple work fronts.
\t
\t
*
\tThorough knowledge of UK construction health and safety legislation and best practice.
\t
\t
*
\tAbility to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
\t
\t
*
\tExcellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
\t
\t
*
\tRelevant site certifications (e.g. SMSTS, First Aid at Work, CSCS or equivalent).
\t
\t
*
\tWillingness to travel and work on remote project sites where required.
