Dental Care Professional (DCP) Manager - Oral Health Directorate
This is a full time (37 hours) permanent position within the Operational Management Team. The post holder will be accountable to the Operational Governance Manager and will be responsible for the daily, efficient coordination of staff hygienists and dental nursing staff within Glasgow Dental Hospital, ensuring a high standard of care for all patient groups. The post holder will work closely with the Operational Governance Manager on governance issues, service improvement activities, and multidisciplinary audits, planning, implementation and evaluation. The role includes action planning to improve the quality of care across Oral Health in Secondary Care and developing an improved career structure and succession planning for the dental nursing and staff hygienist teams. The post holder will support development of a culture of improved performance and work with multidisciplinary colleagues to drive improvements in outcomes and resource utilisation.

Responsibilities
* Coordinate daily operations for dental hygiene and dental nursing staff to ensure high standards of patient care.
* Collaborate with the Operational Governance Manager to develop, monitor, and implement governance issues and service improvements.
* Lead multidisciplinary audits, planning, implementation and evaluation; negotiate with key stakeholders.
* Support quality improvement across Oral Health in Secondary Care and contribute to career structure and succession planning for dental teams.
* Foster a culture of improved performance and continuous development of services; drive improvements in patient outcomes and resource utilisation.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience as a dental care professional with leadership or management responsibilities in a healthcare setting.
* Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders and to lead service improvement initiatives.
* Strong governance, audit, and planning skills; ability to develop and monitor action plans.
