Job Description: Technical Electronic Engineer
Location: Slough, Berks
Salary: 35-40k per annum
Hours: 9-5:30pm inc 1 hour for lunch

We are an electronics design and manufacturing company. We are a world leader in power quality products, IoT devices and refrigeration controls with manufacturing in the UK, Middle East and Far East.
Duties:
• To support our R&D team with new and existing products.
• Design validation of new products.
• Evaluation of new components.
• Building prototypes.
• Investigations and failure analysis.
• Fault finding on PCBs and products.
• Making up cable harnesses and test jigs.
• Uploading firmware into products and using configuration software.
• Assisting the design engineers with new product development.
• Pre-compliance testing of products including EMC and temperature testing.
Requirements:
• Candidates should be qualified to HND or higher level in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, or similar discipline.
• To have at least 5 years practical industrial experience in working with electronic products.
• Must be able to readily learn the application and operation of our products in detail including their configuration.
• They must have good verbal and written communication skills, able to explain technical matters clearly and concisely with an excellent use of the English language.
• Needs a good understanding of electronic circuits and able to read schematic diagrams.
• Able to use hand tools, solder components, crimp cables and use electronic test equipment.
• The candidate will need good problem-solving skills with a highly positive attitude. They need to be self-motivated, well organized and have excellent time management skills.
• They will need to be flexible in the tasks they undertake and will report to the Engineering Manager
• They must be able to work in the labs and offices at head office in Langley without excessive travel time, on a daily basis.
