What your days will look like:
1. Lead end-to-end procurement transformation—design and implement strategy, target operating model, processes, governance, systems, and tools.
2. Own category and sourcing delivery—develop and execute category strategies across direct and indirect spend; run competitive events, negotiations, supplier relationship and contract management to secure tangible benefits.
3. Drive rapid value creation in turnaround contexts—shape and deliver cost-out, cash release, and workingcapital improvement workstreams; align crossfunctional stakeholders and track benefits to P&L and cash.
4. Improve source-to-pay performance—diagnose issues, streamline P2P, strengthen controls, and embed datadriven performance management and change adoption.
5. Enable digital procurement—identify and deploy nextgeneration sourcing, across S2P platforms, Third Party Risk Management, apply analytics and automation to accelerate insight and benefits realization, including AI orchestration and implementation.
6. Embed ESG in procurement—integrate sustainability criteria into strategies and supplier selection, manage Scope 3 considerations, and support decarbonisation across the supply base.
7. Lead client engagement and teams—operate as a trusted advisor, craft executiveready materials, manage multidisciplinary delivery teams, coach junior colleagues, and contribute to proposition development and business development.
8. Create visible impact, deliver rapid turnaround and transformation programmes with quantified cost, cash, and riskreduction outcomes.
9. Work across the full procurement value chain—from strategy and operating model to sourcing, contracting, SRM, and P2P performance.
10. Leverage leading digital ecosystems—work with modern procurement tools and advanced analytics to accelerate insight and execution.
11. Advance sustainability leadership—gain handson experience integrating ESG into procurement and addressing Scope 3 decarbonisation challenges.
This role is for you if:
12. Procurement transformation & delivery—experience spanning category management, strategic sourcing, contract management, SRM, and P2P improvement.
13. Turnaroundvalue creation—proven track record of cost-based transformation, cash and workingcapital improvement, and benefits tracking.
14. Digital & analytics fluency—comfort with source-to-pay platforms and the business adoption of digital tools; strong analysis skills (Excel) and familiarity with analytics tooling (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau) to derive insights from complex thirdparty spend.
15. ESG integration—understanding of how to embed sustainability into procurement, including Scope 3 measurement/management and supplier decarbonisation.
16. Stakeholder leadership—excellent communication and negotiation skills; ability to influence senior stakeholders, produce executive materials, and coach junior team members.
