4. 37 hours per week
5. Mon - Sat - 8.45am - 6.15pm

What you'll need for this role:
9. Basic literacy (ability to read instructions/communications)
10. Minimum of 6 months previous relevant work experience in a waste environment
11. Flexible approach
12. Good organisational and time management sills
13. Ability to work with minimal supervision
14. Computer literate (to use TMS for holidays/GPS)
15. Working knowledge of health and safety procedures including manual handling and assisting driver whilst reversing
16. Knowledge of waste collection/disposal and recycling issues
17. Traffic management

What you'll be doing in this role:
19. Carry out WRM Collection duties, to collect all approved domestic and commercial refuse and recyclable containers presented, ensuring all containers are returned to a safe position.
20. Assist the driver whilst reversing where appropriate to do so.
21. Daily reporting to the vehicle driver any actual or potential mechanical or electrical faults, or damage to the vehicle.
22. When carrying out Street Cleansing duties, cleanse footpaths and adjacent gutters, collection of litter on public highways and other specified areas within the Borough to the quality standards set out by the Council by means of manual sweeping, shovelling, litter picking, pedestrian operated suction sweepers and other appropriate methods.
23. Emptying of litter bins and waste receptacles, weeding of footpaths and gutters, cleaning of street furniture, removal of fly-tipped and fly-posted materials, removal of animal carcasses and any other cleansing or emergency work.
