Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies is investing £400M to introduce a new, state-of-the-art biomanufacturing facility, known as ‘Project Borealis’. This facility will expand Cell Culture and Viral Gene Therapy cGMP manufacturing capacity at the Billingham, UK campus, expected to be operational in 2025.

Role & Responsibilities
* Perform daily maintenance activities on the Billingham site within a multi-skilled team.
* Report to the Technical Engineer (Mechanical) and collaborate with the maintenance planning team to perform routine and breakdown repairs on cGMP assets and support facilities.
* Ensure maintenance complies with statutory and engineering standards, utilizing personal knowledge and support from engineers.
* Diagnose faults, carry out maintenance and servicing safely and efficiently, following manufacturer instructions.
* Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and maintenance manuals.
* Prepare and reinstate work areas post-maintenance.
* Conduct safe handovers and take responsibility for plant and equipment control within the work area.
Qualifications & Experience
* Ability to work independently to high standards in a regulated cGMP environment.
* Proficiency with IT systems.
* Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Maintenance or equivalent.
* Willingness to develop multi-skill capabilities across disciplines.
