Quality Engineer Owen Daniels are supporting a well-established and growing manufacturing business in recruiting for a Quality Engineer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional with a strong production or manufacturing engineering background, looking to play a key role in driving quality improvements across the business. Key Responsibilities: Manage and lead Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), ensuring timely containment, investigation, and closure Conduct structured root cause analysis using methodologies such as 8D, 5 Whys (5Y) and implement effective corrective and preventive actions Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes Monitor quality performance, analyse trends, and drive continuous improvement activities Support internal and external audits where required Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to ensure quality standards are consistently met Candidate Requirements: Proven experience in a Quality Engineer role within a manufacturing or production environment Strong working knowledge of NCR management, 8D, 5 Whys, and root cause analysis tools Background in manufacturing or production engineering would be highly advantageous Excellent problem-solving skills with a methodical and analytical approach Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally This role would suit a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Engineer who is passionate about driving improvements and ensuring high standards are maintained across manufacturing operations.
