Our client is looking for a Logistics & Admin Assistant to join their team based in Colchester. Main duties and responsibilities * Arrange timely road freight shipments to European customers. * Arrange sea and airfreight shipments to overseas customers. * Liaise with suppliers, couriers, and agents for timely delivery. * Monitor shipments and resolve issues (delays, damages, paperwork discrepancies). * Collaborate with sales and purchasing teams, updating them on issues. * Ensure compliance with relevant regulations for product shipments. * Organize and file sales and customs clearance paperwork. * Provide customs clearance and delivery instructions to agents and couriers. * Inform warehouse of expected daily export collections. * Update export documentation with required information; prepare original documents (COO’s, EUR1’s). * Ensure correct ADR and IATA documentation and labeling for products. * Oversee sample requests and update relevant departments with approvals. * Request quotes from transport agents and approve invoices for payment. * Maintain accurate records of shipments, transit times, and transport costs.
