Assist Craftsperson, Supervisor and Engineers in the Installation, maintenance and testing of all plant, apparatus and cables associated with the Grid, Primary and Distribution network. Help with fault location and repair of all plant, apparatus and cables associated with the Grid, Primary and Distribution network. Ensure that all works are carried out following the Distribution Safety Rules and to demonstrate a safety culture. Undertake a system emergency storm role observing network standards and safety requirements. Experience The following skills and attributes are important to this role:- Experience of Electrical Installation works or an Electrical Improver. EAL Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installation or Equivalent. Educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent. CSCS/ECS Installation Electrical Card/EUSR SHEA Power or equivalent Flexible and able to work in a team environment. Ability to problem solve in a practical way and able to work under pressure. Must have a clean driving licence (HGV License would be preferable but not essential). An understanding of Health & Safety and Environmental Legislation Beneficial City and Guilds 2339 - Level 2 Certificate in Electrical Power Engineering or City and Guilds 2365 - Level 2 Certificate in Electrotechnical Craft or equivalent City and Guilds 2382 - Certificate in the Requirements for Electrical Installations (18th Edition) Confined space trained Ladder Association trained Experience working at heights and working outside is highly desirable.
