Key Responsibilities
As a Complex carer with Coyle Homecare, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to service users. You will be expected to fulfil the following responsibilities:
* Delivering 2:1, 24/7 care for a client with severe traumatic brain injury
* Providing full support with personal care, feeding, continence, and mobility
* Managing PEG feeding (daytime and overnight) and administering medication via PEG
* Supporting with pureed meal preparation and feeding
* Repositioning regularly to reduce risk of skin breakdown and maintaining skin integrity
* Using specialist equipment safely, including for transfers requiring two carers
* Assisting with hydrotherapy sessions and community outings
* Communicating effectively using non-verbal methods (closed questions, observing responses)
* Monitoring and managing anxiety-related behaviours, including risk of self-harm
* Maintaining accurate digital care records and updating care plans
* Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams (MDT) and family members
Key Job Requirements
To be considered for the role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
* Experience in complex care, including acquired brain injury and neurological conditions
* Ability to deliver therapy-led care (e.g. positioning, stretching, rehabilitation support
* Manual UK DRIVERS LICENSE
* Confident working in 2:1 care packages and 24‑hour care environments
* Strong communication skills, including supporting non-verbal individuals
* Competent in PEG feeding, continence care, and moving & handling
* Ability to maintain accurate documentation using digital care systems
* Reliable, flexible, and able to work day and night shifts
* Understanding of person-centred care and safeguarding
