Futures are supporting an established engineering business near Leeds in their search for a Control Systems Engineer. The appointed Control Systems Engineer will have a strong technical background in electrical panel design, PLC programming, and industrial control systems. You’ll be involved in every stage of the project lifecycle from initial concept and design through to build, testing, and on-site commissioning. Control Systems Engineer - Role & Responsibilities – Electrical Design / Control Panel / Controls / Automation / PLC / HMI / SCADA / Programming Design and develop control panels using electrical AutoCAD. Prepare system design specifications in line with project and client requirements. Carry out PLC and HMI programming and assist with panel testing. Collaborate with project managers, clients, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate project delivery. Provide on-site commissioning and technical support during installation and start-up. Ensure all work complies with industry standards and safety regulations. Produce key documentation including wiring diagrams, BOMs, functional design specifications, and test protocols.
