About Us
A welcoming and inclusive Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in the heart of Liverpool is seeking a behaviour support worker to support a pupil 1.1. The school is dedicated to supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, and moderate learning difficulties.
The Role
We are looking for a compassionate, resilient, and proactive Behaviour Support Worker (BSW) to support a pupil displaying challenging behaviours and SEMH.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with SEMH and behavioural challenges.
* Implement individual behaviour support plans and strategies.
* Support teaching staff in managing behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
* Build trusting relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and progress.
About You
* Experience working with children or young people with additional needs (school or care setting).
* Knowledge of SEN and behaviour management strategies.
* Excellent communication, patience, and empathy.
* A team player with a flexible, solution-focused attitude.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Health & Social Care, Psychology, or similar) are desirable but not essential.
* Team-Teach or equivalent de-escalation training is advantageous.
