The role of the Children, Young People and Family's Engagement Officer is to empower and support children, young people and parents involvement in decision making mechanisms within Children’s Services, RBWM Services and external organisations.
We are looking for an innovative, enthusiastic, dedicated worker who will help us transform the lives and futures of children and young people and their families.
Responsibilities
* Lead various engagement initiatives, such as informal sessions with young people, young children and their parents, as well as parent forums and online consultations.
* Provide support to existing groups, including the youth council and the children in care council.
* Play a key role in supporting the engagement of children, young people, and parents in the new service design, in line with the ongoing Children’s social care reforms.
The post holder will be required to work 2 evenings most weeks due to the nature of the work.

Qualifications & Experience
* Recognised qualification (level 3) in a relevant subject linked to children or young people (over 8yrs) e.g. Youth Work, Social Care, Community Work, Education, or relevant experience in working with one or more of the cohorts identified within the job role.
* Maintain professional links with other professionals and agencies relevant to the service to ensure effective service delivery.
* Experience of keeping and maintaining records (in accordance with local policy) and producing accurate reports, presentations, and written updates to a range of stakeholders (which may include families, children or young people).
* A full driving licence and access to a car for work.
Other Information
The post holder will be able to work flexibly in terms of working hours and location (including home working) based on the service needs. There is free parking at all Family Hub sites and the post holder will receive a Parking permit for relevant RBWM car parks.
