This national multi-disciplinary consultancy provides Building Surveying, Cost Consultancy, Project Management and Professional Services to commercial clients. Its Surveying & Project Management team works closely with in-house specialists across several built environment disciplines. The Birmingham team supports commercial clients across project and professional instructions. Work includes commercial surveying, refurbishment schemes, contract administration and advisory services. Role & Responsibilities
1. Lead and deliver a broad range of commercial Building Surveying services across key client accounts
2. Manage dilapidations matters for landlords and tenants, including assessment, preparation and negotiation
3. Undertake Technical Due Diligence for acquisitions, disposals, refinancing and commercial instructions
4. Deliver refurbishment and fit-out projects from initial brief through to completion across schemes
5. Act as Project Manager and Employer’s Agent across commercial developments and refurbishment projects
6. Provide strategic oversight to ensure technical quality, programme delivery and commercial performance targets
7. Lead, mentor and develop Building Surveying team members including graduates and senior surveyors
8. Support business development activities and contribute to growth of the Birmingham office workload
Skills & Experience Required
9. Degree in Building Surveying or a closely related discipline from a recognised institution
10. MRICS qualified with extensive experience delivering commercial Building Surveying services within consultancy environments
11. Strong experience across dilapidations, Technical Due Diligence, contract administration and project delivery
12. Proven experience acting as Project Manager or Employer’s Agent on complex commercial & residential schemes
13. Strong working knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts within commercial project environments
14. Excellent technical, contractual and regulatory knowledge with strong client-facing communication skills
15. Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and supporting business growth within consultancy settings
16. Full UK driving licence with the ability to travel for client and project requirements
Salary & Benefits
17. £70,000 – £85,000 DOE
