Senior Engineer - Drianage/Highway
Location: Guildford (Hybrid)
I am working with a consulting client that supports public and private sector organisations in the planning and delivery of development schemes. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Senior Engineer to join their team and contribute to the successful delivery of infrastructure and development-led projects.
This is a hybrid position based in Guildford, offering a balance between office collaboration and remote working.
The Role
The Senior Engineer will play a key role in project planning and execution, applying technical expertise to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the design and delivery of development-focused engineering projects
Preparing Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies
Designing and analysing infrastructure solutions using AutoCAD and MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage
Managing projects to ensure programme, budget, and client expectations are met
Coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders
Presenting technical information clearly to clients, planning authorities, and other third parties
Candidate Requirements
Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
Strong technical background with project delivery experience
Demonstrable experience producing Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies
Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage
Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
