Physiotherapy - Children and Young People – NHS Lothian
0.5 WTE (18.5 hours) Band 7 Physiotherapist – Paediatric Major Trauma
We are looking for a creative, innovative physiotherapist to join our team as lead for Paediatric Major Trauma as part of our Inpatient MSK Team. This is an opportunity to work in collaboration with experienced physiotherapists across MSK, Major Trauma, Spinal Service, Respiratory, Neurology for peer support as well as the wider multi-disciplinary team to develop knowledge and skills within a children and young people setting.
RHCYP is a regional Paediatric Major Trauma Centre for the South East of Scotland, you will be part of the AHP rehabilitation team who work collaboratively to ensure those children and young people who experience major trauma can access rehabilitation at the right time, in the right place to maximise outcomes. This post is largely based within the inpatient setting, with some outpatients as required to meet the needs of the children and young people. We are looking for a physiotherapist with relevant clinical experience across a range of specialties who has an interest in working with children and young people. The age of the population we see means that experience working with children and young people in healthcare settings is beneficial but not essential. This post would suit someone who is interested in the clinical area and is committed to life-long learning to develop themselves and others to ensure ongoing service development to meet the needs of the children, young people and their families who require the support of the service.
As a service, we are committed to ensuring staff have the resources available to them to support continuing professional development across the 4 pillars of practice.
There is a requirement for on call within this role and support and training is provided.
