Based on-site at HMP Wayland, as the CSCS Tutor you will be working with small groups of prison-based learners to develop their skills, knowledge and behaviours while supporting them with their long-term goals and aspirations. Our Tutors ensure that the appropriate training plans are in place and that the advice and guidance is given when required while ensuring they deliver the highest level of quality courses that engage with the learners and help them to reach their potential. Key Responsibilities: Deliver the CITB Health & Safety Awareness course to explain the key principles of health and safety on a construction site. Provide guidance and support to learners through the course content, answer questions, and offer support throughout the process. Assesses learning ensuring learners understand the material through continuous assessment during the course. Prepare learners for the CSCS test to help prepare candidates to pass the mandatory CITB Health, Safety, and Environment test. Facilitate the qualification process to help learners understand the requirements to earn their CSCS card and potentially achieve other construction qualifications. What are we looking for? Vocational Qualification - ideally within construction A background within Construction An expert in your field with substantial experience Experience of delivering training A teaching or assessing qualification is desirable Ability to display a wide range of training methods to engage learners If you don’t currently hold a teaching or assessing qualification, we are able to support you through the appropriate qualifications and assessments, as part of your probationary period.
