About the role

National Grid Interconnectors is at the heart of UK’s transition to our net zero energy future. We operate a number of HVDC Interconnectors that connect the UK’s energy system to some of our closest neighbours, allowing energy to be imported to and exported from the UK.

As well as already owning a portfolio of HVDC Interconnectors, we’re working on developing new projects to ensure that we are able to meet the UK’s future demands for greener energy solutions.

We are currently recruiting for a

Senior Governance and Reporting Analyst

within the UJV Operations team within National Grid.

Reporting to the Contract Performance Team Manager, the Senior Governance & Reporting Analyst sits within the Operations team within National Grid Ventures Interconnectors (NGVIC) and is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining policies, procedures and reporting, that ensure compliance, data integrity, and efficient operations, within the Contract Management Team (CMT).

This role is based from Warwick and you can enjoy our hybrid working from office and home.

What you'll do

Policy Development & Implementation: Developing and implementing policy and procedure (including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), for contract management and supply chain management, assisting the team to become an industry leading contract management function. Compliance Assurance: Facilitating internal audits, to ensure we do what we say we will do, and supply chain audits, to ensure our suppliers maintain compliance with regulation, policy and the contract. Risk Management: Proactively seeking out and capturing risk, collaborating with the business to implement mitigation strategies. Data Governance: Embedding data best practice to ensure data integrity and reporting accuracy. Reporting & Communication: Ensure that Business as Usual (BAU) reporting is consistently completed while also identifying opportunities for improvement by assessing needs. This includes developing intuitive and engaging reports that are utilised across the business to enhance strategic decision-making. Additionally, create/enhance a new Supplier Scorecard to monitor the performance and assess the risk of key suppliers. Leadership: provide mentorship and leadership to one direct report, the Reporting Analyst, supporting their day-to-day workload and development.

What you'll need

Experience in developing and maintaining processes and policies, including the development of SOPs. Excellent Stakeholder management skills Reporting and MI (Management Information) experience Experience of conducting audits (internal or external)

Additionally, the following are a bonus but not essential:

Ability to use Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate. Knowledge of contract and/or supply chain management. Experience of FastDraft and/or other contract management systems.

What you'll get

A competitive salary between £48,000 - £57,000 per annum - dependent on capability.
