Job Description
3. Process supplier invoices and ensure accurate coding to the appropriate cost centres.
4. Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
5. Prepare payment runs and ensure adherence to organisational policies.
6. Maintain up-to-date and accurate accounts payable records.
7. Assist with month-end closing activities and reporting.
8. Respond to supplier queries in a professional and timely manner.
9. Collaborate with other teams within the accounting and finance department to streamline processes.
10. Support ad-hoc administrative tasks as required by the team.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Accounts Payable Clerk should have:
11. Previous experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role.
12. A strong understanding of financial systems and processes.
13. Proficiency in using accounting software SAGE 50 or NetSuite and Microsoft Excel.
14. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
15. The ability to work independently and meet deadlines efficiently.
16. Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
17. A positive attitude towards problem-solving and process improvement.
