This is a rare opportunity to step into a COO-style role within a growing, multi-office professional services business with a strong legal and wealth management offering.

We are recruiting an Operations Director to join the Senior Management Team of a well-established and highly respected firm.

Working directly alongside the CEO, this is a high-impact leadership role with responsibility for operational performance, systems, support functions, service delivery and business improvement across a multi-site organisation.

This role will suit a commercially minded, results-driven senior leader who can combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.

THE ROLE

You will lead operational strategy across the business, ensuring the firm has the structure, systems, people capability and infrastructure to support growth, service quality and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

* Leading and delivering operational strategy aligned to business objectives
* Working closely with the CEO on performance, planning and business improvement
* Driving continuous improvement, digital transformation and systems development
* Overseeing key support functions including ICT, HR, Risk & Compliance, Marketing, Facilities, Procurement and Administration
* Improving productivity, service standards, resource utilisation and operational efficiency
* Strengthening governance, operational controls, compliance and business continuity
* Championing technology, automation and AI-enabled efficiencies
* Supporting organisational change, engagement and cross-functional collaboration
* Enhancing client onboarding, workflows and overall service delivery
* Supporting acquisitions, integration activity and wider growth initiatives

ABOUT YOU

We are keen to speak with senior operational leaders who can demonstrate:

* Senior operational leadership experience within legal, professional services or wealth management
* Experience operating at firm-wide / senior leadership level
* A strong track record in operational improvement, transformation and change delivery
* Strong commercial and financial awareness
* Confidence influencing at board and senior stakeholder level
* Excellent leadership, communication and relationship-building skills
* A practical, hands-on approach with the ability to deliver results in a regulated environment

Experience within a law firm or wealth management business would be highly advantageous.
