As one of a multidisciplinary team of experts, including curators, fundraisers, building surveyors and project managers, you’ll be working with others to help make things happen. Your contractual place of work will be the National Trust office at Dunwich. Our hybrid working policy means you can balance office and home working with site visits and meetings at other National Trust places. We’ll talk about this in more detail at interview, but you should expect to be at a National Trust site for 40–60% of your working week. You’ll seek to mitigate impacts on people, land and nature arising from visitor pressure and displacement as a consequence of Sizewell C construction. You will work with the property team to coordinate surveying, monitoring, and practical habitat and species management, delivering landscape and infrastructure projects to focus visitors away from views impacted by construction as well as helping property staff enhance our visitor programme responding to the needs of our audience through delegated project workstreams. You will also work with the external stakeholders and submit reports to the funders. The success of the role requires effective engagement with Sizewell C and key partners, representing the organisation in external forums including maintaining awareness of opportunities to apply for a share of £20m of funds linked to the development. You’ll help keep track of deadlines, manage risk, and deliver at pace, within budget and in linewith requirements of funders/investors. You’ll take responsibility for ensuring you maintain systems and records in accordance with the National Trust Project Management Framework.
