HR Business Partner (P01542)
37 hours per week (hybrid working).
In this generalist HR Business Partner role, you’ll support the provision of a professional and comprehensive Human Resources service to meet the strategic aims and objectives of the Council.
You’ll play a key role in supporting managers by providing expert guidance on matters related to resourcing, employee relations, retention, employee engagement and wellbeing.
You’ll produce reports and provide analysis of key HR data for management, committees and for external bodies. You’ll have the ability to manipulate databases with accuracy and produce accurate data and insights to identify trends to support the development of the organisation. You’ll contribute to the development and continuous improvement of policies, templates and procedures to ensure that the HR service responds to legislative and technical changes and develops and maintains up to date policies and procedures.
Ideally you will have experience of and understanding of local government services and employee pay, terms and conditions but other experience in similar fields will be considered. We’re looking for someone CIPD level 5 qualified with significant experience advising managers on complex employee relations matters, and a sound understanding of employment law and the statutory local government service environment. You’ll be an excellent communicator and highly organised with the ability to manage a varied workload to a high standard and tight deadlines and work as part of a small team.
The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential in this post.
