Job description for: Welder/Fabricator
Reports to: Workshop/Transport Manager
Position summary
William Waugh (Edinburgh) Limited are recruiting for an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join the workshop function of our metal recycling business based in Edinburgh. The successful candidate will be involved in the repair and maintenance of containers, plant and equipment within the business.
Key responsibilities will include:
· Work to a high standard to repair, refurbish and maintain our fleet of skips and containers.
· Ability to follow planned work schedules and use strong communication and teamwork skills
· Carry out repairs of various pieces of plant and machinery as required.
· A detail-orientated and methodical approach
· Experience with various welding and cutting equipment
· Ability to use electrical or manual tools
· Understanding of technical documents and drawings
· Manual skills
· Compliance with company health and safety policies and guidance documentation
· Carry out any other reasonable task which may arise from time to time according to the needs of the business
Essential requirements:
· Experience with various welding equipment
· Experience with cutting and related fabrication equipment
Desirable requirements:
· Relevant welding certification
· Full UK Driving Licence
· Forklift Ticket

Hours & Pay:
· Monday – Friday 8-5pm + some overtime opportunities, Saturday 8-12 (overtime),
· Salary £15-18/hour dependent on experience, and negotiable
