C# Software Developer – Energy Sector Experience Essential

The successful candidate must have hands‑on experience working on ongoing energy industry projects and be able to demonstrate delivery across enterprise‑scale or business‑critical platforms.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using ASP.NET MVC and C#
* Deliver scalable, secure, cloud‑based solutions within energy‑focused environments
* Work with Postgres and Azure SQL to optimise database performance and structure
* Build and maintain serverless applications using Azure Functions
* Support and improve CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
* Collaborate closely with senior developers, DevOps engineers, QA teams, and stakeholders
* Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives
* Contribute to architectural discussions and technical decision‑making
* Work across long‑term, continuous delivery projects with evolving client requirements
Essential Skills & Experience
* Strong background in ASP.NET MVC and C#
* Proven experience delivering projects within the energy sector
* Evidence of working on ongoing, business‑critical software projects similar to enterprise delivery environments
* Strong experience with Postgres and/or Azure SQL
* Experience with Azure cloud services, including Azure Functions
* Solid understanding of CI/CD processes, ideally using Azure DevOps
* Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Ability to work effectively within Agile development teams
Desirable / Nice‑to‑Have Skills
* Experience with Azure App Services and Azure Service Bus
* Experience working within Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban)
* Knowledge of front‑end technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
* Experience working on data‑heavy or operational systems within utilities or infrastructure sectors
