This role is about consistency, patience, and building trust. You won’t just be supporting learning. You’ll be helping a child feel safe, understood, and ready to take on the day. What you’ll be doing You’ll support one pupil on a 1:1 basis within a primary classroom setting. That could include: Supporting children with autism, ADHD, SEMH, or speech and language needs Helping them stay focused and engaged during lessons Using positive behaviour strategies and clear routines Breaking tasks into manageable steps Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO Encouraging social interaction and emotional regulation Primary settings are busy, energetic places.
