Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. Duties
* Operate flatbed/Curtain side in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
* Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working order before each journey.
* Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring that all items are properly secured for transport.
* Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times while considering traffic patterns and road conditions.
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that may occur during transit.
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
* Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients during deliveries.
Qualifications
* Valid commercial driving licence (CDL) with a clean driving record.
* Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, preferably with flatbed lorries.
* Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for safe driving.
* Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy items and securing loads.
* Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
