Working Hours : This role operates on a three-week rotational shift pattern : Week 1 : Sunday 11:00 PM 6:00 AM, Monday to Thursday 10:00 PM 6:00 AM Week 2 : Monday to Thursday 2:00 PM 10:00 PM, Friday 1:00 PM 8:00 PM Week 3 : Monday to Thursday 6:00 AM 2:00 PM, Friday 6:00 AM 1:00 PM Supervisory Responsibilities : Responsible for overseeing Maintenance Technicians and Apprentices. Position Overview : The primary focus of this role is to ensure that all production lines consistently meet quality standards, production targets, and efficiency expectations. A key part of the role involves rapid response to equipment breakdowns, identifying root causes, and implementing effective countermeasures to prevent recurrence. The position also involves mentoring less experienced staff and maintaining accurate records and systems. Key Responsibilities : Respond promptly and effectively to machinery breakdowns, using logical fault-finding techniques to identify and resolve root causes. Collaborate with production teams to improve line efficiency, reduce error rates, and ensure product quality is consistently within specification. Implement improvement initiatives and equipment modifications to enhance overall production performance. Lead and contribute to continuous improvement projects, capturing relevant data before and after implementation to measure impact. Provide training and support to apprentices and junior team members to enhance departmental capabilities. Primary Duties : Manage and monitor stock levels of spare parts in line with departmental requirements. Maintain accurate records of departmental expenditure and track against budgets. Obtain and compare multiple supplier quotes to ensure both cost-effectiveness and quality of purchased parts and components. Support production schedules by minimizing downtime and communicating any delays or issues proactively, along with proposed solutions. Coordinate with other departments to ensure line access for maintenance and improvement works. Assist with the training and development of operators and junior team members, offering support on the production floor as needed.
